As your candidate for Massachusetts State Representative, I stand with you, the hardworking residents of the 10th Bristol District and our surrounding communities. You deserve a future where our seniors can live comfortably, our veterans receive the benefits they’ve earned, our middle-class families thrive, our low-income families receive support they need, and our young adults have the opportunity for a promising future.

 

However, the influx of illegal migrants is challenging this vision. This crisis burdens our economy, strains our resources, and displaces our middle-class and low-income residents from affordable housing. Our schools are stretched thin, struggling to accommodate new students, especially those needing additional support due to language barriers. Meanwhile, our healthcare system faces mounting costs, and crime rates are impacted by migrants who should be deported but remain in our communities.

 

If we fail to address these challenges, the costs will spiral, threatening our financial stability and quality of life. We are at critical-mass, with long-term implications for schooling, social services, and public safety. We must act now to reform our state's approach, particularly the right to shelter laws, to prevent Massachusetts from being overwhelmed.
